David arrives just as Fiona, the short and chunky blonde, red and black corset-wearing waitress waits to take Toby's order, his blushing face eye-level and in close proximity to her substantial bosom and impressively exposed cleavage.
"Ah, David!" says Adam, "Fiona, looks like our third is already here, right on time."
Fiona takes a glance at David and returns her large greenish-blue eyes to Toby, "Ahh... well, you take your time and decide what you want, okay handsome? Adam dear, I'll be right back with that chair and take the rest of your order." The buxom woman turns and struts back inside Guiseppi's from the nearby terrace entry way.
"Toby," Adam says, "this is Detective David Michaels."

Nodding to Adam, David says "Adam" and then turning to Toby, he says "Nice to meet you Toby."

Toby turns his attention (slightly) away from the abundance of breast in front of him and extends his hand outward "Nice to meet you sir".

notcing Toby's reluctance to to turn his attention away from Fiona, David Shakes Toby's hand and waits for Fiona to return with his seat.

Adam cleared his throat with an *Ahem*, a little embarrassed but understanding of Toby's obvious curiosity and immediate preoccupation.
"So, Detective Michaels and I helped your fath... helped the late Burton West, locate an old museum curator all the way back to Salem, Massachusetts of all places. Apparently they were old school mates or something that West had a falling out with and wanted to make amends; it's lucky we found him too, since I heard the guy died in a freak accident not long after."
"Anyway," Adam continues, "Detective Michaels, is very good at what he does and he's going to help us, but you need to fill him in on what exactly is troubling you Toby. Maybe start with your dreams and what you feel they represent, then the Detective may follow up with more questions; take your time and just answer as best you can, okay?"
Fiona returns with a wooden folding chair and arranges it between Adam and Toby, "Here we are! Now... can I get you something?" then glancing at Toby, "and have you decided, handsome? We have food too if you're hungry. Not a huge selection, but the Fish n' Chips are the best around," Fiona instinctively takes a menu standing vertically in the center of the table next to the napkins, salt & pepper shakers, opening it before Toby to the "Lunch" section.

noticing when Adam catches himself before saying father David makes a mental note to ask Adam about that later, David sits and waits patiently for Toby to start telling him about his "dreams".

Toby face becomes more mature somehow and the boy begins to speak with the tone and inflection of someone more older and experienced. "The City's is in snow, ice and darkness. The people are frozen dead.. legions of monsters fill the streets and so very happy to be commanding them all is non other then that cult leader from the news." Toby leans back into his chair and looks at David and tries to read his response.

ooc:(right back at ya Nightson)
listening to the young mans story of his dreams, Davids first response is yeah right, someone needs help, but then as Toby continues his story something about his demeanor tells him to take this more seriously.
after taking in the story, David thinks for a moment and then asks Toby "You said that the person behind all of this in your dream is that cult leader?"

"Why so serious?" the Rubenesque Fiona said, noticing the grave manner about her patron's faces as she emerged from the patio entrance with a tray held shoulder's height. She placed a (insert David's preferred libation here), a tall glass of OJ for Adam, and a basket of Fish n' Chips plus a Coke for Toby. "Here we are gentlemen -- enjoy! And let me know if you need anything else," she said with a genuine smile, then notices something. "Oh! I forgot the Tartar sauce, handsome!" she says to Toby. "I'll be right back with that," Fiona says and hurries off. The deep, bassy sound of garbled gangsta rap can be heard in the distance; the steady, driving beat and buzzing of vibrating car trim getting nearer. ooc: Assumed you ordered something before getting far into the conversation ... Dialog can continue... though everyone give an Intuition FEAT roll as well

[dice=100]-my roll Relic ooc: I think it is a given that if food is in the area Toby wants some of it As he grabs a large hunk of fried fish, Toby turns his attention to the sound of bass in the background. Making note that the fish could very be the hottest thing he had ever put into his mouth. EVER. He quickly grabs his Coke and takes a long suck of ice cold sweet cola goodness. intuition roll[dice=100]
wondering if Toby is merely being melodramatic, David takes a sip of his Diet coke and sitting his glass down, he asks Toby without any skepticism, "What makes you think that these dreams you have been having are anything more than precisely that?" pausing, David continues by saying "I am not saying that I don't believe you, but what has you convinced that this is a real threat?" Toby pauses.."Great question", he thinks to himself. The boy puts his cola on the table and says,
"I am truly surprised you asked that..it's a good thing ...that your the type of person to those kinds of questions it shows you care.. and not someone who blindly takes money from a scared rich boy."
Toby smiles "I don't have anything but a hunch but Adam will confirm that I have had these dreams about Harrows and monsters long before the reports in the news." Toby rests his hand on the amulet he wears on his neck and looks a if to say something but instead turns his head again to the loud music in the background.

David sits quietly for a moment or two sipping his diet coke, and thinks about what Toby has said. He notices the amulet that Toby is wearing and files it away to ask about later, but then asks Toby "Tell me Toby, have you ever had any dreams similar to this about anything before or are these the first ones that seem to be giving you a warning?"
ooc: sorry about the wait, I was waiting to see if Uatu would post anything about the init rolls he had us make.
