Uatu/Relic, I noticed on classmarvelforever that barna10 posted his character publicly and you said you PM'ed him about it. Should we make sure we keep details like FASERIP secret? You seem to want to handle that in private with each of us. That's cool and I just want to make sure I don't over-share any details you think we shouldn't.

I have no issues with what you share. But I do see the advantage in keeping secrets..never know who may be a super villian pretending to be a hero. HA HA HA....

TD, yeah before he posted, barna10 didn't see the link to this site, the submission stuff etc. so he just posted on CMF; he did mention to me it was a quick draft and he'll send something else so... you can share as much or little about your characters as you want really; the 'roll call!' is just more an intro or profile or whatever you want to make it (you'll actually write it up yourself as ftj and nightson did with theirs once we locked down their heros); Secondary stats (actually just health/karma) will be listed in my sig as kind of a Stat tracker as well as in each Profile Folder where all the details are kept eventually folks will kinda know what other folks can do, what abilities/rank roughly are, etc. but for now it's kinda interesting not knowing completely what folks are bringing to the table

one thing i'm still trying to figure out is how exactly to run the story. it's set up now where i can start individual stories basically in each person's 'Profile' folder; but it's kind of strange and makes the 'Chapter' section kind of useless, except in the event that everyone's together, which won't always be the case.
i'm thinking to just kick off the story in 'Chapters' section, by character, even though everyone can see it; of course just like table-top, whatever you the player knows, is different from what your character knows. but then it kind of makes the whole 'secret' folders thing a little irrelevant... or maybe just save that for specific things or events that need the traditional "secret note" passed in table top games? idk... thoughts?

I think there will be a need for ..secrets are good to have. I can say without a doubt we will never all be on at the same time that is the lure of the PBP game. You could even do the chapter as a review of events?..maybe after we all respond? just spit ballin' here.

A review... that's an alternative. Hmm. What I need is one more sub-sub-board in each player's folder where I could start actual game plot. I may need to reconfigure stuff a bit

Ok cool. The thought in my head that drove my post was I'm most likely going to make a facilitator type of character. He'll be geared more towards being an asset to a group than a self-sufficient character, so I didn't know how much team construction you wanted us to do. If we all start out secret and alone it doesn't make any sense to try and coordinate as a team. Still going to make a helper char anyway, just didn't want to screw up the mystique or balance of the game.

sounds good TD. helper/facilitator types are always valuable in any game.
